SKY ARMORY FLORAL DESIGNER AND LOVER OF FORAGING IN NATURE

Nature provides us with so many elements to craft a beautiful holiday arrangement for an entry table, mantle or dining room table. Why not try crafting your own this year by foraging in your yard, along the roadside or while on a hike.

I used some of my favorites in this piece. I began with cedar and evergreens that not only bring the scent of the season but have great textures. The neutral tones of swamp grass add some light and airy ‘fluff’ to the overall piece – it grows in large clusters and abundance along the roadside. Falling branches make another great textural element to add to your piece or layer around it. You can also find beautiful red winter berries growing in our wetlands, mushrooms on trees, fallen pinecones and lots of other dried items.
Look around and enjoy what nature offers not only for your holiday celebration, but all year long.
